Baptism

So check it, Latey it has been on my heart and mind to be baptized. I have been baptized before add its not the fact that i feel unclean (sinful) but when i was first baptized, i didnt know what Jesus was all about. Something that i have kept reading over and over again is this verse:

"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[a] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:18-19

after reading this, baptism is supposed to be done after accepting Jesus and not before. Does baptism really mean anything if your not knowing what its all about and just doing it because maybe everyone else is doing it? Now im not saying baptizing babies or sprinking them with water is a bad thing but Baptism is about going public for Jesus! Baptism is MY next step and i would like to ask whoever is reading this What is YOUR next step.

One last thing i would like to mention is that Jesus walked from Galilee to the Jordan (Matthew 3:13) which is like a 60 mile walk. If Jesus walked that far to get baptized, i think its pretty important that we should also be baptized. These are just some thoughts and im sorry if i dont make sense in some areas, i have a hard time articulating words but this is what has been on my mind so any questions just ask me.
